Additional Information |

The Detroit Electronic Music Festival began in the year 2000. Each year, it is held over Memorial Day Weekend in Detroit, Michigan at the Hart Plaza and the Dock of Detroit.
DEMF, as it is known to many festival-goers; has always kept with the same under-lying vision and mission. Detroit Electronic Music Festival has always strived to ensure that the movement and culture behind electronic music continues to thrive.
The very first Detroit Electronic Music Festival was first organized by Carol Marvin and her company Pop Culture Media. The festival's initial mission was to expose the under ground electronic movement in Detroit to the rest of the world. Since 2000, DEMF has been able to accomplish much more than that.
In The Detroit Electronic Music Festival's short history, it has changed names as well as ownership several times since it's inception. Despite the many different organizers - over the years DEMF has continued to see annual record attendance.
Additional information will follow once there are more announcements regarding the 2008 version of Detroit Electronic Music Festival.
