The Northeast Kingdom Music Festival is gearing up to be a great music & film festival. The festival takes place August 1st - 2nd in Albany, Vermont. 2008 marks The Northeast Kingdom Music Festival's sixth consecutive year.
The NEKMF is a grassroots, independent, and family-friendly festival that features both Roots and Rhythm oriented music in different categories. The festival is held on Chilly Ranch in East Albany, Vermont - which offers plenty of space for an intimate experience or even a more private festival experience.
I am really excited to continue un-covering so many smaller festivals that offer the environment and setting that I'm looking for. My assumption is that the smaller festivals will allow me to meet more people and be more comfortable in my environment in general. With that said - it really comes down to personal preference - I am a shy person so a smaller festival is more fitting for my personality.
The Northeast Kingdom Music Festival will feature two stages as well as theatre acts, giant puppets, a fire sculpture burning, and other performances will be featured as well.
