I just discovered this festival because of the The Homegrown Music Network. The McDowell Mountain Music Festival is another festival that takes place out west. The festival runs April 25th and 26th in Scottsdale, Arizona. That would be a beautiful place for a music festival - the McDowell Mountains act as a perfect backdrop.
The McDowell Mountain Music Festival began in 2004 and was created to bring real music back to Arizona. At the same time, the festival was established to help children in the community. 100% of the profits from the festival are given to Golden Gate Community Center and the Phoenix Day Family and Child Learning Center.
Each year, the festival features 13 bands over two-days featuring artists such as John Butler and Jackie Greene.
