Superfly Productions, has just announced Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival. The festival, will take place August 22nd thru 24th in San Fransisco. Historic Golden Gate Park will play host to the three day event. A wide array of musical tastes will be featured; including DJs, singer-song writers, jazz and rock.
Not much is known yet about the festival (especially the line-up), but Outside Lands has already confirmed Radiohead, Jack Johnson, and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers as artists. More announcements should be coming soon. The official website is currently a nice-looking splash screen.
Golden Gate Park opened in the 1870's to emulate Central Park in New York City. The park is 1017 acres and boasts over 13 million visitors annually. It is the third most visited park in the United States; only Central Park and Lincoln Park in Chicago claim more visitors.
