Summerfest Milwaukee 2008

Several bands have already been announced for Summerfest 2008, which takes place in Milwaukee, WI, from June 26th until July 6th. Summerfest is "The World's Largest Music Festival". Festival Friendly has plans on attending this years festivities! Make sure to catch us there. In the meantime, some of the bands that have already been announced include:

• Tim McGraw w/ Jason Aldean and Halfway to Hazard
• Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers w/ Steve Winwood
• and the Jonas Brothers

Summerfest as it is widely known, also goes by the name of "The Big Gig", is an annual celebration that takes place on the 75 acre grounds of Henry Maier Festival Park, along Lake Michigan's front in Milwaukee, WI. Many of the festivals main stage acts will perform in the 23,000 seat Marcus Amphitheater. This is quite an amazing venue! Besides boasting such an amazing amphitheater, you will also be able to enjoy Summerfest and its 12 other stages located throughout the festival grounds! Many different acts have graced the stages of Summerfest over the years. Such acts include Bob Dylan, Tina Turner, and James Taylor to Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, and Nine Inch Nails.

And get this, Summerfest lasts an amazing 11 days! Summerfest features music from many different types of music, ranging from rock, to country, electronic, and even metal, so there will be great times to be had by all. The festivities kick off each day at noon and go until midnight. Last year, general admission tickets sold for about $15, with the main amphitheater shows costing a little bit more. Well worth the price I might add!
