We have decided to try something new here at Festival Friendly - to add a new feature to our repertoire. It's pretty basic, but should be fun for us as well as the viewers. We are going to have an on-going weekly Photo of the Week feature on the site. For now, we will be selecting mostly from our flickr group so please check out the photo pool there.
We definitely won't turn down any direct submissions though for Photo of the Week. If you would like to submit your own photo or make a suggestion please feel free to send us an e-mail to mail@festivalfriendly.com.
Our first choice, for Photo of the Week, was submitted into our flickr group by a user named rowelsky.
The photo depicts an excited crowd at Fusion Festival 2007. rowelsky - aka Sam Rowelsky submitted this photo to our flickr group. He resides in London, United Kingdom.
My plan is to get some further information about this photo and hopefully get in touch with Sam and ask a few questions about his photography, his photos, and the festivals. Check out his work!
Since this is our first initial go at Photo of the Week - please expect to see the layout of the post as well as the information included to change and hopefully improve. We really would like to help get exposure for photographers and help to spread the passion.
