Just discovered another music festival taking place over Memorial Day weekend. It will take years to get to all of the Memorial Day weekend festivals - it amazes me at how many their actually are.
Asheville Music Jamboree is not a festival that should be over looked either. AmJam takes place May 23 - 25 at Deerfields just 20 minutes south of Asheville, North Carolina AmJam offers the mega artists and bands that the larger festivals offer, but in a different atmosphere and setting.
AmJam's site is close to a staggering 1,000 acres of space. The site is filled with apple orchards, shade trees, hiking trails, wooded camping areas, streams, ponds and gorgeous backdrops.
Another really interesting fact is the organizers of Asheville Music Jamboree are only making 3,500 tickets available for sale to the public. That is a very small crowd for a festival that takes place on such a large site.
This is on purpose though - as AmJam really strives to create a casual and open space with an extra sense of intimicy for festival goers.
Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased for $125.00 USD from the following site:
